Good questions.
Yes. As of September 2026, Overseas Delivery is available as a lease on 2027 XC60, XC90, and EX60, and 2026 XC40. A credit application is run at the time of order and again at local delivery. Payments begin when you take delivery in San Diego.
Yes. Overseas Delivery pricing is discounted from U.S. retail (5% off MSRP on 2027 XC60 and XC90, 2% on EX60 pre-orders, 4% on 2026 XC40), and the airfare, hotel, insurance, and shipping are included on top of that.
Plan on about four months from order to your delivery date in Sweden for a custom build. If you'd rather travel sooner, Volvo keeps stock in Gothenburg that can be ready in about eight weeks.
A $6,000 deposit when you place the order. The balance is due when the car arrives at Volvo Cars San Diego, and the deposit is credited against it.
Yes. Two weeks of European insurance and registration are included, so a drive through Norway, Denmark, or further is fair game. Plug-in hybrid (T8) models can't be charged in Europe; the EX60 gets a loaned charging adapter.
Volvo ships it to our dealership. You'll get email updates at each stage: in Europe, loaded on vessel, arrived at U.S. port, arriving at retailer. Expect about six to eight weeks.
No. Anyone can order. Current Volvo owners do get a third complimentary hotel night in Gothenburg.
